I am not working for company but I need to work for my hobby. So weekend is still productive. I usually refuse to work for company in weekend because it's just the free time for me to do my hobby.
That’s tough, but at least it’s for yourself. Better to be growing your company or focusing on hobbies than working for work.
Thankfully I am not working weekends at all. That could change since I am a supervisor. But most of the time I am off on weekends. It is really nice.
That is so nice - enjoy it! But hopefully weekend work is rare for you
I am currently working as an independent contractor. So I often have work to do for clients over the weekend. I don’t have what you would call a typical schedule. But when I was working for an agency or a company, I wouldn’t hesitate to work over the weekend. Setting boundaries is a weakness for me.
You and me both! I’m horrible at setting boundaries and I’m trying to get better at it. Hopefully you can too
I feel like there isn’t an off switch anymore. While I’m not working weekends all the time, I’m never not thinking about working or being pinged on something. The funny thing is I feel less busy during real business hours sometimes and then all the stuff hits harder during all the other hours
Exactly! I feel like the nature of our industry makes it impossible to truly log off and unplug

My 9-5 shuts down at 5 fortunately. I have freelance work for most weekends.

I’m an online college instructor, along with some copywriting. It’s a nice variety.
