Currently i am working as a data scientist having an experience of 5 years all my friends who joined with me left organization ( they are working as Salesforce developer) but i am struggling to get an offer from good company as most of the positions i cleared interview are kept on hold (6 out 10) is this normal in machine learning/ Data science or only i am facing this ?

Goal is to end up in tech but am interviewing for a fortune 50 healthcare company for a data scientist role. Struck out on other interviews.

Would it be worth it to jump to this if I want to break into data science or should I stick it out in D&A consulting which really isn’t data science?

No idea on compensation other than that they are interviewing me with the tc range I requested. A FAANG is also interviewing me but not for a DS Role

Any advice on how to negotiate salary for my next role? I am currently at $120k TC as a data scientist at Accenture. I am interviewing at some startups now but I am not sure how I should approach salary negotiation. I have about 10 years of domain knowledge for this particular area. I have about 1.5 years of data science experience. What sort of compensation package should I aim for?

Hi! Does anyone know what kind of knowledge is needed to crack the Data Scientist interview at Google?

I'm currently working in Marketing Analytics (primarily using SQL and a bit of pyspark). Apart from mastering SQL, I wanted to know from people working at Google what does it take to get there as a Data Scientist? (I'm very interested in Strategy Ops)

Help! Need some tips on negotiating. Step by step.

SC at Deloitte offered at AWS for L5 data scientist. Big raise to $240k TC. 3 YOE+MS. Word of mouth says that this is a good offer for my location (DC). I have a bunch of questions and I'm also looking for any tips for anything I'm missing.

-Even if it's a good offer, is there always $ on the table to ask for?
-I have a final interview elsewhere this Thursday. Should I start negotiating now or wait until I hear on the other option?

T20 undergrad and well versed in the typical data science toolkit (applied math degree, strong understanding of ML and statistics, some programming experience, python, r, etc.)

Have put in numerous hours after work and on weekends to learn programming/ DS and algorithms, ML, and statistics. I now have a pretty good resume of personal projects, but am having trouble getting any interviews. Should I go get an MS or keep on trying to find a job as a data scientist? Hi folks. I’m a data scientist at a T2/B4 firm that does fairly technical work. I am prepping for interviews to transition to SWE-data at a big tech company and currently have a little over 1 yoe.

Since prep usually takes a while for swe, I have not started seriously applying. However, I am likely to receive an offer for 110-120k at another consulting firm. I was hoping to get some thoughts from other technical folks that made the transition. More in comments
