I'm interviewing for a project manager position at a place that provides support for a prominent Bay Area tech company. I was approached by a recruiter from Planet Technology. The role is a 6 month contract, with the possibility of extension.

What's the minimum hourly wage I'd need to make in order to live comfortably and afford health insurance in San Jose? I'm 30 years old w/out kids. My husband is currently unemployed so this is assuming that I'm supporting us both.

I currently am a senior in a specialized healthcare consulting function. I received a job offer which is less glamorous as a project manager @ a hospital organization. It could help me support my work life balance as I plan to go back to school.... is this a down grade? Is it worth it? Will it keep me out of other consulting jobs? Open to thoughts.

I currently work as an engineer for the utility industry and have been offered a position as a project manager in healthcare. The base pay is the same as what I’m currently getting. But I’d be losing out on a bonus I’d be getting soon, pension plan, 401k matching and I also would have to pay back money for tuition reimbursement. I’m really tired of my current job but I feel like the offer isn’t good from a financial perspective. Any tips or insight that could help? Should I try negotiating?

I’m 29 years old, project manager in the construction industry, living in Toronto. I make roughly 80k with decent benefits..company vehicle, gas card, cell phone. I hate my job, I hate the industry. Hi guys - I saw a job posting in the Toronto area for a sales force process excellence manager which seemed interesting. My role right now is a project manager in the investment and pension industry, with a background in consulting, app an tech support and process automation. I’ve just completed a full implementation of workday and have other SaaS ERP experience. My academic experience is more MIS (business process/strategy/ERP) and hold a PMP, ITIL and CSM. Would this role be a possibility?

Joined new project as project manager for mainframe on healthcare client. Should I leave or gain some experience leading teams to delivery before doing so? Worried that I won't have any exit opps. Only good part is that we work on integrating MF data centers to actual apps like active directory and maybe some database management stuff

Does having Deloitte on your resume have a huge impact? Received an offer from Deloitte USDC to start in Sept but as an Analyst. I am a recent grad but have been working full time during college in industry. Have another offer from industry with better benefits and almost double the pay as a project manager. Wondering if it makes sense to go to Deloitte for 2 yrs for the resume boost and to learn a different skill set.
