I am actively updating my resume and cover letter to return to work after taking the past 9 years off to focus on raising my kids. I'm really struggling with the resume building piece of this. I have great experience prior to leaving the workforce but my struggle comes in to play with what to do about my employment gap. Is it best to just highlight it during the Professional Summary piece and then only list Professional work experiences under employment section? TY!!

That is probably what I would do. You can also use Chat GPT to help you write your resume. I did it a while back and started getting a lot more hits on my resume.

Yeah I agree above, chat gpt will be your best friend to help you out.

I feel like professional summaries on resumes are pretty much outdated these days. I know when I’m reviewing a résumé I don’t even pay attention. You could put that information in your cover letter otherwise list it on your resume’s experience.

The Albertsons (Jewel) and Kroger (Mariano’s) merger would be terrible for Chicago. I doubt antitrust will allow them to retain all stores here. Maybe a player trying to enter the region will buy out those stores.

Is working in VC Ops for a T10 Series A fund a good opportunity? This would be an internship preMba. I’m making a career shift as a vet and looking to land a VC investor role post b school (ideally HS) Anecdotally I understand seed and series A VC is very network based so this would be a chance to meet great folks, but ultimately not the investing experience I’m hoping for. Other internship options include start-up or consulting.

What are M7 MBB recruiting timelines ? Considering applying right now to MBB, but if I get rejected I’m going to do an MBA, will I be blacklisted from applying for summer internships if I get rejected this fall ?

I would appreciate your perspective.
I am currently working on my MBA in a professional evening and weekend program at a highly accredited university. I am thinking about transferring to a much smaller private online program, specifically because they offer a concentration in organizational health, which directly builds on my doctoral research. Does great depth and specialization outweigh the value of a highly respected generalist degree?
