Love: WFH, Flexibility of not being “chained to desk” all day because I don’t have to take outside customer calls, ability to complete work assigned at any time of day within 72hrs, no micromanaging from my Supervisor, feeling like I’m my own boss

Hate: getting assigned bulks from others and it throws off efficiency of reviewing suits, monotony, depositions

I’m in paid social at an agency and I’m absolutely miserable. Considering putting in my two weeks but I have nothing lined up. I have plenty saved for a couple months of rent but I’m paying for a wedding right now so I feel like I need to do at least something for income while I job hunt. How bad of an idea is this? 🥴 I’m trying not to act on my emotions but I want nothing more than to put in my two weeks TODAY.

Anyone have a good billable hours goal tracker tool /app to recommend? I tried to make one but I suck at Excel (and math.) Need to stay on track and make extra hours for the rest of this year. Why is animation criminally overlooked by execs? The absolute gems prove there's an audience and money to be made, yet they get tossed aside. Also, I'm tired of celebrity casts who put in minimal effort to such a beloved medium.

My supervisor gave me 8hours of AWOL because I couldn't show up one day because I was under anxiety. I have gave him letters from psychiatrist,psychologist that I'm passing through this. He didn't care and gave me an AWOL. I want to leave my job because my department is very toxic but I don't want to leave having that on my records.
If I move to another job later on (private or federal) this 8 hours of AWOL will show up?

I am a Web Developer based in Grand Rapids, MI. My primary focus is Magento development and managing / building the 7 sites my company owns. I do front and back-end development. I got a raise from $12.50 an hour as an intern to $22 an hour 6 months before I got my degree. I was happy with this raise initially. A year later, I am 6 months out of my degree and have 3 years of experience at this company. They gave me a 5% raise which puts me a $24 an hour. Is this fair considering I got my degree.

I keep being staffed on arbitrations, which I hate. Do you think it would be appropriate to tell the assigning partners that I’m not interested in that type of work? And if so, how should I do so? I don’t want the seem like a problematic unreasonable associate.

EY GPS isn't very reassuring when it comes to appraisals without having MBAs, even for associate consultants.
I'm going in for my call next week with 3+ YOE, consistently great feedback reports, and a current CTC of 7LPA. What should I be expecting? So far I've heard it won't be any more than a 20% hike and nobody I've spoken to sounds confident about that either...

I got the offer from HCL... Joining location is Noida they are saying and given in offer letter..but i preferred Bangalore location..I said same with my recruiter but she is not responding and saying first drop paper and let me know ..like that..

If you don’t have 8 hours of billable time a day, do you leave as is or do you fill in the gap with non-billable work? While I am in the office, I don’t always get the billable amount since I don’t have enough work. Seems like a waste of time to enter non-billable time just to fill in the gap but I also don’t want them to think I am not there and slacking off.

What’s the norm?
