Good or Bad?
My referral had interviews w/ (1)
recruiter, (1) SM, then the series of
(3) 1:1's w/(1) MD and (2) SM's.
The recruiter said he will now have
an interview in Jan. w/ the PPMD.
He interviewed for a M role in
consulting for customer marketing.
11 YOFE
He does have a wide skill set and the
recruiter said it was all positive
feedback, just have to find out
where to put him (on the team he
interviewed for or another he is
qualified for).Deloitte

Eat your way through DC especially in Shaw and other places
The dabney, Rose's luxury, little serow, red hen, ramen at daikaya, duke's grocery, himitsu, timber pizza, All Purpose, pineapple and pearl's, Tiger Fork, Massaria, Thai X-ing, and rasika to name a few
Jack Rose if you like the idea of 2,500 different whiskeys
What's your scene?
Think tanks, nonprofits, and startups - if I didn't have to work, that is :). But also love casual restaurants, historical attractions, whiskey bars, and sports leagues.
Eat your way across the city. The restaurant scene is solid these days. Also work the tinder/bumble scene (if you're single) whole you do it.
If you're athletic, definitely get into a running club of or exercise group too. Lots of options.
Any restaurant recs?
Washingtonian Top 100 is a great place to start and Michelin came for the first time ever last year.
Any by Mike Isabella or Jose Andres- they're two of the best groups in the area. Being a fat Italian kid from the Northeast, Filomena in Georgetown is near and dear, but you'll find better in NY. Any of the Michelin Star winners are solid but also hard to get into. Rasika is one of the best and underrated. If the hipster scene is your thing, Granville Moore's was the first, and is still one of the best, Gastropubs in town. On the VA side, J. Gilbert's is an awesome classic steakhouse and their barrel aged manhattan is a thing of beauty.
I could go on for hours, but what sort of stuff do you like?
What firm and what location, btw? In this town, you want to be a regular somewhere.
Good happy hour at The Front Page, Sette Osteria has great brunch and Italian food, breadsoda in Georgetown, check out Chinatown bars lile Fado, Hill country bbq on Wednesday nights has Live Band Karaoke. Other fun stuff is joining free events in the city (look up golden triangle dc) and go for a run in the mall, stop at a museum for a break and keep going! Enjoy DC. Beautiful city!
