I am so sorry that happened to you. That happened to me once before and I felt the same way you do. Your feelings are totally valid. I would suggest looking for a new job.
It happened to me twice with the same company. When I had to teach the last one, who became my boss, how to do things I found a new job.
Smoke a fat blunt I go over all the times your trained the guy taking your position
I can't blame you for being annoyed, that's a reasonable first reaction for anyone in that situation. It might be good, however, to analyze the situation and try to determine what happened. If the person you trained had been doing a great job or had managed to stand out in some way, you might learn from that. That can sound harsh, but any little defeat or insult can turn into an advantage as long as you learn from it.

I guess it’s about taking a step back and figuring out what actually went wrong, instead of just letting frustration take over. Definitely something to learn from.

Valid feelings! I do my best to ignore when that happens, however there was one time I couldn't get over it, and I ended up leaving that job a year later!

I hear you! Sometimes it just sticks with you, no matter how hard you try, and leaving ends up being the best move.

I can relate to this feeling to be honest. I had few people working with me as customer service agents who were trained under me and got promotions and became my managers where I was the most deserving one. It is just awful but this feeling will pass.
Sounds like you’re justified in your feelings. I would be looking for a new job and then leaving the current job high and dry once I secured something. But I’m extra petty.
