I have never had one personally, however, I have many friends who have. I would not suggest spending the money. They all said they felt like it really wasn't worth the money they spent. I am not familiar with that particular person so I cannot speak to that.
Some pray on people's vulnerability.
I'm actually graduating with
My associates as an engineer tech drafting and design in December 22. Just finished NASA's L'Space Mission Concept Academy and now just began NASA's L'Space Academy for Proposal Writing and Evaluation. i am also interning at Volkswagen in their Purchasing and Logistics department. Aside from that I have an enormous amount of experience in the office from sales to csr to purchasing.
Hey, I’m a coach that helps students land jobs. Feel free to DM me.
I just watched her week long course on tips for job searching and it had me intrigued. When I tried to google her it was nothing but all her own reviews. I couldn't find any of personal ones. I love her videos and way of thinking. Her tik toks are good too but how far will that $5k get you. An extra $15k in salary would be a pay off but that seems like such a far reach.
That would be my concern, not knowing what the payoff would be. Sometimes, you could get all of the same information from YouTube or the free content that coaches share. It may take a little more time to piece it together yourself. You're basically paying for their own curation of all of the information. Maybe it depends on whether you think you would have the discipline/energy to locate similar information from other online sources/books/etc. to try to make an informed career decision. I honestly wouldn't be able to afford to work with her, and I'd be leery if all the reviews are her own... but, you never know. It could be a good thing!
I joined right after my layoff her program doesn't even offer a 1:1 so so so not worth it! and no refund so save your money and find some 1:1s!
For anyone else who is curious about 1:1 vs. group coaching -- these two program structures are different. Group coaching generally offers more resources and feedback. I spent a ton of time researching this before investing in my first coaching program too. I'm happy to share any info I have to help you make an informed decision if you're looking for a coach.
Madeline Man's coaching program, Standout Job Search, offers both group coaching and 1:1 support.
We always want to make sure the program is a good fit for folks before enrolling, so reach out to our team if you're on the fence. We'd love to have a conversation with you to help you figure this out.
I've wondered the same thing about coaching. It's so expensive, but I guess it would be worth it if it helped save a lot of the stress & heartache of job shopping. She has a lot of free content on YouTube. Have you already watched all of that? I'm going to check her out, but maybe her videos would give you a better idea of what it would be like to work with her??
I was also looking at a career coach but still haven't decided yet to hire one. I would definitely pay that if the career coach helped me achieve my objectives.
