What’s the best bang for buck in HNL? Doing 5 nights. Options are Royal Hawaiian, Moana Surfrider and Laylow.
Hawaiian Air flights between HNL and OGG, anyone know how the ticket prices fluctuate? $150 now, is it likely to go up, down, or stay the same in the next 1-1.5 months?
Fellow 🐠, is 5k points from AA enough comp for the following: On a LAX-HNL flight, 1.5 hours out of LAX we diverted to SFO because of faulty sensors. Fixed in SFO. Arrived in HNL ~5 hrs late.
Any firm happy hours in ATL today?
TSA pre check at ORD T3 - splitting your line into a large one and a small one to get your ID checked does not speed up the process, and only slows down the process for the large one
Probably not landing in ORD until late tonight. Anything good to eat in the AA terminal that will be open?
Almost got out in time. LGA is a mess.
Did a round of brand side interviews with a senior level team and want to write a thank you note that doesn’t come across too thirsty. What would a senior person appreciate in a note if they got one? They have all been there 10 plus years. Just thank for their times and reiterate what value I can bring to the role? Agency side is so lax I haven’t had to write one my last few jobs 😓
Does anyone have recruiter contacts in San Fran?
After significant research, I found that I’m making 40% less than others at my level and have been owning projects at the SM level for the last two years. I made a deck and requested a comp review las
Found a lot of Vintage Omega Seamasters online for very cheap ($100-400), on many platforms. Any reason why vintage sea masters are so cheap and thoughts on buying one?
The traffic at DCA is absurd!!!
I have 2 job offers, one in San Francisco and one with a Fortune 500 company in Nashville. Is going to San Francisco worth it if the pay is comparable?
San Francisco here
Thinking of moving from San Diego to Austin, Texas. SoCal has been great to me, but I’m over it. For those who have moved to Austin in the last year or two, are you happy with the move? (Single, 27yo, M)
Looking to regain my SW A-List Preferred Status for next year. Just need to get 2 round trip flights or 4 one ways. Based out of Chicago. Looking for cheap flights under $110/way. Only looking to go for the day or stay overnight for one night. Don’t want to rent a car but it’s okay if need be. Interested in NYC, Philly, Boston, ATL, Raleigh, Charlotte. Open to any/all suggestions! Thanks Fishbowlers!
Anyone at DCA? 🙋🏻♂️
I know the UK pays less but I am seeing differences of $80-100k for Advisory M at one of the Big 4. Why in the world are salaries so low? And don’t say healthcare. My healthcare is like $140/month for a PPO w low deductible. Plus taxes are less here. Makes the thought of a potential move over there hard :/
Demographic check. Post your age and gender.
2nd year consultant with an MBA looking for exit opps. Where can I go that has TC that exceeds $225k? Also, my background is in industrials and it’s making the jump go tech or product management hard. Any advice?
I can’t stand my team/what I am doing, but find myself staying in the role because of the comp. I think my manager is picking up on this...unhappiness affecting performance and engagement. Advice?
Hi There, I have 3.5 years of experience in SAP ABAP and currently serving NP. Could you please refer me in E&Y of they have any openings? Thanks.
So, a month ago I was offered a data engineer position at a fintech firm. I was going to accept it. The interview process had taken over a month. Then, at the last minute, an old coworker/friend - who is a manager at FAANG now - randomly offered me a data engineer __contractor__ position at a FAANG. The rate was really good - more than the fintech company was offering as annual salary. Rate was 160/HR and fintech was 275K TC. The benefits are ok - it’s a W2 contractor. But I’m thinking of...
I’m just wondering .....what could this be? Me: My reviews are always = strong performer. My comp & bonus I feel is fair, not the best but it’s not bad either. .....(cont’d)
I'm returning back to the office this week after too long of a time being comfortable wfh. Ready to quit without a backup plan and am okay with it.
How can I re-negotiate my package and who should I be doing it with? I feel I am very underpaid. Currently I am working as a consultant in sap and have completed one year in D. I am a campus hire from a tier 2 MBA college.
Anyone have IHG points they’d be willing to loan me? I’m looking to book a stay with 120,000 points in December. Going to sign up for the credit card but won’t get points in time. Will transfer back 125k once I get the sign up from the credit card in 3 months.
I have 15+ years of experience in finance roles like FP&A, Financial Due Diligence, financial controller roles with a MBA degree. I am looking for a break through in consulting. Any references?
Media Peeps - title location salary. I’ll start. Associate planning director / Minneapolis / 115k
Pandemic has made me realize that traveling / points / dinners etc. were the only real perks to stay in consulting. Remove those and you’re basically in a sweat shop working inhumane hours for leaders that only think of you as a slide producing factory.
What are some of lessons you have taken from consulting; my new one: You can send emails up to 2000 feet down into Grand Canyon
Has anyone come back from being put on a PiP? My colleague just got one and is freaking out - her manager is overallocated like crazy, the other two media planners were laid off, and she’s the only one left standing. Her boss says she’s making too many mistakes - but they’re so short staffed. Any hope, or should she start looking now?
