I had a moment today where I realised I am good at my job, but I am not sure I am enjoying it as much as I thought I would by now. Nothing dramatic, just a quiet question in the background. Do you ever reassess your direction without wanting to quit?

I've got a tendency to, so I really try not to think about it. It's depressing thinking that this is the way I'll be spending the next 30 years. Best to keep it out of my mind.

I understand the temptation to ignore it, but I am not sure that works long term. For me it was not dramatic, just a quiet nudge to check in with myself rather than panic about the next thirty years.

This is normal throughout your career. Being good at the job can mean feeling stagnant and wanting to do something more interesting or challenging. It’s not about quitting, just finding something different. Are you in a place where that is possible? My boss has always been great about offering projects that help with that.

That is reassuring. It did feel more like restlessness than crisis. I think I need to explore stretch work where I am before assuming it means I am in the wrong place entirely.

Would you be happier unemployed?? Be thankful for what you have, because all it takes is a change of management and your out in the street.

I am grateful to be employed. This was not about throwing it away. It was more about understanding whether growth and enjoyment are still aligned, not taking stability for granted.

Looking for a remote/hybrid/onsite (Calgary,Alberta) job for my boyfriend who got almost 5 years of experience in proposal writing, RFP, RFI and bid management for a civil engineering firm. He also got an MBA, non drinker, non smoker, clean driving abstract and very polite. He gave out tons of cv in indeed job posters for the past 5 months, ends up becoming the filler candidate, took a huge toll in his mental health and we are going through some very rough patches. Can anyone please kindly help?

Hi! I have a quick question and could use some advice:

I have 1 job offer that is an hour away and pays 45k, after negotiations (Research Associate Position at a University) .

I have just interviewed for a position closer to home and a base salary of 65k, but haven’t heard back from them in about 2 days (He said he would make a decision by yesterday and I’ve reached out).
I have to decide on the first offer by Thursday but I haven’t heard back from the second yet. Thoughts on next move?

Hi Everyone, I am trying to apply for a Technical Support role at Dropbox I’m entering all the required fields but there seems to be an issue, when I hit submit after filling the form, it doesn’t submit and throws error ‘Looks like you left this blank! Please fill out this required field’ when all the fields are entered already (I have checked so many times, and filled the form from scratch several times too). Anyone from Dropbox who can put me in touch with HR or suggest what I should do next?

Hi, I was curious if anyone had any jobs or companies that had a position with a mix of consulting/healthcare/pharmaceutical. I currently work in clinical operations and research, and would love to jump or learn into a tech side company with pharmaceutical exposure. Not sure if these are out there but figured I’d see!
