At my age, most bosses are younger. I just try to be polite and smile though the interview.

By remembering that they have the power in the hiring right now. That's their job. Side note: I'm 46 and still getting ID'd at the liquor store, so they may actually be older than what they look and just really bad at interviewing. lol

Sometimes I feel like Sometimes companies don't train the interview panel for interviews. And you can easily tell.
You show respect by not being ageist (lest they do the same to you) (but also because that's how you be a good person) and by remembering that you too once were young and doing things out of your depth. With that part of my answer over ;) I'd say that the moment you clock that they aren't asking any follow-up questions, you need to find a way to share that information during the remainder of the interview if it is important. If they are running through a generic list, you need to find one way to stand out and be memorable for when the hiring discussions take place later.
