It states on site that I would talk to recruiter > hiring manager and by having an informational interview with the hiring manager first would that be strange?

I have about 5 years of PM experience and am looking for a senior PM role in a company that makes ML based products and it's been hard. I've gotten feedback that I seem "really smart" but I'm not a good fit for X role. It feels like a hiring manager saying you seem "really smart" is code for something.

I'm also in the position where I've had real successes but my current role is stagnating to the point where I don't know if I can claim any real big achievement in the last quarter to 6 months.

So I have decided to move into a data analytics role. My role at my current company is very different but I have learnt SQL and BI tools on my own.

I got one offer letter but having hard time clearing interviews for further companies. I find it very difficult particularly when interviewers deep dive into projects. My notice period is almost coming to end and am feeling very depressed 😔

Any help fishes on how to proceed? Should I learn any other tool or language?
