Thoughts on going in-house for a high level creative role? I’ve only worked at agencies and generally like it, but curious to hear of anyone esp at ECD/VP creative level who did the switch. For a well known brand, does cool stuff and would offer a good comp package.
Hi. I have 20+ years of experience both in consulting and in-industry. I have a contact at McKinsey that I connected with that is willing to make an introduction/referral for me. A few questions: 1). What level should I be targeting. I’m willing to take a lateral to a degree because. . .well, it’s McKinsey, but I don’t want to come in too low salary wise and somehow undercut the value of the experience and the roles I’ve already held (VP/DVP). As such - is Associate Partner too low? 2….
Anyone ever leave a FTE job with full benefits for a 1 year contract? I'm hoping to avoid future regrets - am definitely burned out and under-comped at my current position and we've been losing team members almost every week to greener pastures. I've been at the same place since I started in tech, from an intern to a PM, 6 YOE. Currently managing a peer (!) and reporting to a VP. The contract is for a company I'm interested in working for, but no conversion guarantees and I'm nervous. Stories?
I applied for a role at Big Tech and I have my phone screen scheduled today with a VP today. At the same time my current company has pitched for a project at this big Tech and I am scheduling an interview call with the same VP this week to discuss our approach and proposal. My company pitched the work based on my credentials and experience - what should I do?
What comp I should target for a VP Corp Dev role in a PE portfolio company (lower middle market)? Am currently a Sr Manager at MBB
Currently work as a VP of Sales with 15 YOE. Im managing a large team and revenue target for a growing business. The money is good but I can’t help this nagging feeling of doing something else. What options are there to move into consulting but not the typical post-MBA consulting role? For example I know McKinsey has their implementation business where they’ll hire experienced sales and marketing execs. What other opportunities are out there? Is the pay good? What’s the WLB like?

Hello fishes. I gave 2 rounds of Interviews with Deloitte USI for Senior Analyst role. Both the rounds went well, one with Exec. Director, the other with VP. Can anyone give any idea how long should I wait to get a confirmation? 8 YOE! Deloitte USI
Can someone please tell me the salary range for a VP in a strategy position at Morgan Stanley-NYC for someone with a 10 year experience ?Morgan Stanley
Currently at a Startup SaaS company where I’ve already been promoted from an Enterprise BDR to an ISR. My goal is to eventually grow into an SE, to bridge my coding and sales skills. My VP of Sales and I were discussing career progression acknowledging I’m keen on getting there, but I have to fill my experience gap. So I have been told I can move into either an AE role or CSM this year, so my question is, which role, in your opinion, would best serve me on the way to my goal to become an SE?

Looking for some advice about my current job situation. Being moved to a new position after the first of the year and this will entail management of a department. No discussion on increasing salary but the expectations are extremely high for this position. I have already been managing this department by default off and on for a year. It is severely understaffed and VP and rest of upper management do not recognize the problems this causes. I am thinking about looking for something else.

Question for the FB crowd - A COO of a company reached out to me on LinkedIn asking if I’d be interested in a VP position. Is it kosher to respond saying thanks but not looking for VP level roles and are looking for a C-suite opportunity? COO and I have almost same YOE (12-15). I’m already at an SVP equivalent level. Or do you think it can come across as being a pompous dick? Lol. TIA!

I am ready for a VP position. I have been a director for six years, obtained my MBA, have become certified in Organizational Leadership from a very reputable institution and built two stellar departments in my field of healthcare. Any advice on how to position myself? Advice much appreciated.

Looking for Advice! I’m starting a new job at J.p. morgan chase. I did the background/fingerprinting on 7/11. I show on 7/12 the report came back and everything was cleared but 2 work places I did in college (one is now closed). My start date is 7/26 but without being cleared yet i’m scared to give my employer my exit date. I don’t have the liberty to go a week without pay if i can help it. JPMC hasn’t contacted me about any of this. My new manager says they typically wrap it up right before.
