I have just received my EoY review and while the rating is successful the contents of the review threaten PIP and mention a continuous unsatisfactory performance.

1 month ago during my meeting with her manager he reassured me of my upcoming review reading to me feedback submitted by my executives and telling me I had nothing to worry about. He makes sure to look out for my ratings and feedback because I was unfairly rated 2 years prior (evidence was found).

Naturally, I am upset and angry with the contents of the review and do not trust my manager. I have requested to meet with my manager’s manager before my official EoY meeting on Tuesday and am planning on involving HR. There is clearly bias at play. She has established a clear pattern over the years with me and this further proves it.

Am I taking the right course of actoin? While I am happy I received a successful year. she clearly only gave it to me because I am extra careful to cover all my bases and it is the part of the review my execs and her manager see before approval.

Context:
I am an assistant to multiple executives at a big name media company. The assistants report to a separate manager that is not our executives. This manager does not like me or 2 of my executives and because of her lies/ inability to separate personal feelings from doing her job. I began meeting with her manager regularly 2 years ago to cover all my basis and make sure I am bot being sabotaged.

Any B4 IAM consultants make the move to Accenture? How is the talent experience (employee apps for time & expense, expense/travel policies, well being subsidy, stock options, etc) compared to what you’d find at D or EY? Additional Posts in EAs / Executive Assistants

I’ve recently started work at a very young tech startup. Coming from a big law background, this was a huge change of pace/environment. I’m having a lot of trouble getting used to how unstructured the startup is. It feels like hire ups give a set of instructions then talk as if they don’t remember, or then decided rules A, B, C and D applies without being clear this was the case. Is this just the general startup environment? If you experienced this before, how did you deal with It?

Bain is hiring for EA and MA roles in The US. If you’re serious about applying please reach out I’m happy to refer qualified candidates.

manager assistants are 100 percent remote while executive assistant roles are expected to be mapped to a local office. MAs support six senior managers or associate partners while EAs support 3 partners. MAs should have 1-3 years experience to apply and EAs should have 3-5 or more.

Hi Everyone, I’m looking for advice. Right now I’m currently facing a hard decision. I’ve been at my work for 5 months as an HR assistant and have been given the opportunity to take on the Executive Assistant role. I’m in my early 20’s and still unsure what career path I want to take. I know I want to keep moving up and doing more but again, not sure where I want to be. I’d appreciate your thoughts and advice from your experiences along with pros/cons on either position. Anything would help!

Hello, after doing some research I believe I’m being underpaid. About 4 months ago HR did a market analysis for my role. They bumped my salary for about $2k. I’m a mid-level Executive assistant with 6 years of experience and currently supporting 5 executives at a fortune 50 company. One C level and 4 Vice Presidents. I’m currently making $61,000 with bonus included. Based on my research I should at least be making $71,400. I have a check in with my boss tomorrow and I am asking for a raise.

I’m in an interesting dilemma. Very interested in leaving my company, but I am also going through IVF. I know most new jobs require a year wait before you can go on maternity leave. Does anyone know a great company to work for that does not require this? Obviously, I’m getting a bit ahead of myself, but if this works, I don’t want to accept a job and not be paid for maternity leave because I am doing this solo. Appreciate all the help!
