I relocated with my family to Ireland recently, one month ago, and while I got a lot of screening calls with recruiters, I did not hear back from any of them after our interview. I am still on the process of getting my work permit and I am very clear about this during the interviews, but I suspect that this is the reason why I am not getting any call back. Any tips on the first screening call with recruiters? Should I touch base with them after our interviews?

Hello, after doing some research I believe I’m being underpaid. About 4 months ago HR did a market analysis for my role. They bumped my salary for about $2k. I’m a mid-level Executive assistant with 6 years of experience and currently supporting 5 executives at a fortune 50 company. One C level and 4 Vice Presidents. I’m currently making $61,000 with bonus included. Based on my research I should at least be making $71,400. I have a check in with my boss tomorrow and I am asking for a raise.

I started a new job as an “office manager” at the end of January. The duties seem to align more with those of an EA, and I’m ok with that. Except my boss is a control freak. He scolds me over every little thing, how I load the dishwasher, maybe I didn’t push my chair in. Last week he told me I needed to work on my appearance. I was shocked. Hi Everyone, I’m looking for advice. Right now I’m currently facing a hard decision. I’ve been at my work for 5 months as an HR assistant and have been given the opportunity to take on the Executive Assistant role. I’m in my early 20’s and still unsure what career path I want to take. I know I want to keep moving up and doing more but again, not sure where I want to be. I’d appreciate your thoughts and advice from your experiences along with pros/cons on either position. Anything would help!

Do you find working remotely during this time that you’re having a harder time staying on top of everything that’s going on? With the scattered communication and a boss who hasn’t been as focused and can be hard to pin down, I sometimes think I’m giving 150% but something ends up lagging and I’m just wiped out. What are some of your tactics to avoid missed items and stay active and on top of everything through the Covid funk?
