Stay away from Indian IT consulting firms. Saying this as an Indian and having worked at Infosys in the US.
I have seen female Indian colleagues getting promoted and they seem to navigate well, the ones with more issues of integration / lack of happiness are non-Indian… why do you say staying away? Thank you x
WITCH firms are like that. That’s why most of us leave as soon as we can.
Yeah I was really excited to interview with Cognizant…..Till the interview happened. That was 6 years ago though
I went through a training program to become a consultant at Cognizant. They didn't hire me the first time around even though I had the highest score in my class. During the interview, because I have a data analysis background, the Mgr kept trying to say he thinks I am not serious about this job. Well they finally made me an offer. I declined and started at another company with $10k higher salary + bonuses. Also one interviewer asked if I was a boy or girl during the call. (I dress androgynous, but i have a feminine name and you can clearly see that i am a woman) This company is awful and disrespectful.
You can file a lawsuit for anything it doesn’t mean that it’s worth it
