Lipo will not tighten skin.
Wait until your weight is stable for a year. It sounds like you’re still losing, so you wouldn’t want to do anything surgical before the surgeon needs to see your final, settled, body in order to have good, predictable results. Also your skin will bounce back a bit once you stabilize. Again, I’d give it a year.
In the meantime use a good moisturizer with retinol and sunscreen always. You could do RF microneedling in the meantime to help tighten the skin, but if budget is any concern at all just save it for the eventual surgery - you won’t get surgical results from anything non-invasive.
Thank you so much for this info!! At 34, my skin elasticity is definitely not what I would have hoped for and I don’t expect the skin to snap back, sadly. My upper arms have always been a sore point for me and now they’re just insanely saggy and flappy because they’re even more empty than before! Though I’d love a tummy tuck, I’m not there yet because I don’t have enough loose skin in my midsection to make it worthwhile (maybe lipo would make sense though there at some point…). Thanks! It has been mostly depression and divorce that did it but now I’m actively working on it more because I have a goal in mind for health reasons. I want to make sure I stay as healthy as possible for my kid!
