I may have to take a year or two off to focus on family matters. Has anyone taken a career break like this and successfully returned? Feel a bit nervous to do so with how fast things are changing in our industry. Not sure if I’d be able to get back into the swing of things successfully

A break isn’t ideal, but you still have life outside of work. If at all possible, while you are away from the industry, do what you can to keep up to date. Maybe some small side projects. Then, when you are ready, you can show what you’ve been up to.

I haven't done it but honestly, I have been thinking about it. I would honestly do whatever is best for you and your family and not worry about a year or two from now. We only get this one life to live.

I got an offer from Infosys. My manager says they will retain me by providing the same offer what I got in Infosys, i have put my resignation and my manager is calling me on weekly basis and saying that he is talking with senior leadership.
