I received a job offer on Friday, right after being fired from my current job. I knew I was quitting, but didn't expect to be fired, so I'm worried about them rescinding the offer. The firing was a little messy, but I'm not sure they have to know that. Should I worry about this?

Wouldn't worry about this at all. There's next to no chance of the new employer finding out before you start, or caring enough to rescind your offer. You'll be fine. Congrats.

I wouldn't worry about it at all either. They likely already verified references and everything if they made you an offer. Don't stress about it. If they ask about it then you can worry, but don't worry about it until there is something to worry about.

Hi,
CCTC including all benefits is 16.57 with 8.3 YOE, primarily focused on Manual Testing.
Is it worth looking for another opportunity?
I am afraid after seeing layoffs news of EPAM, Publicis Sapient & most of the other companies calling employees in the office.
I love my WFH in PwC India & base location of Kolkata. & the best thing is stability in PwC India, they never lay off!!

This one is going to make some of y’all mad, but it’s so annoyingly unnecessary. The most irritating part is “is it a shirt day or a skirt day”…. Like women don’t wear shirts with skirts and men don’t wear shirts with pants. Shirts and skirts are not mutually exclusive. I’ll just leave this here.

I feel like gay men especially are constantly discriminated against in the workplace. I have been turned down for a promotion, yet again, in favor of a married heterosexual with kids. This has been the story of my career. Have superior experience - stellar reviews - people fighting to get on to my team because our team is great and I treat everyone well. This is so frustrating. Again and again, it’s a culture of parents helping other parents. No gays in upper level mgmt in our office.

Wouldn't worry about this at all. There's next to no chance of the new employer finding out before you start, or caring enough to rescind your offer. You'll be fine. Congrats.
