I truly enjoy being a manager, but maintaining firm boundaries is essential. People sometimes try to delegate everything upward, and it’s simply not possible to take it all on. Protecting your mental and physical well-being has to be the top priority.

I always give grace to managers because it’s not easy maintaining everything that you do. I know people can test you but simply protecting your energy and boundaries goes a long way in this role.
It's a huge adjustment. I felt like you for over a year when I was first promoted to a manager position. Be kind to yourself and give yourself a chance to really settle into the role.

I can only imagine how stressful it was that first year. That is the same reason why I declined taking on a managerial role. It’s a lot of work and time managing others. A lot of managers work over time to make the business run smoothly. I would take it one day at a time and give myself grace.
