Is the CVA exam worth pursuing?
I’ve been having a super hard time concepting lately, especially knowing that the “concept” will mostly serve as a sticker to slap on the cover of a CVA and the top of a website. I feel like every pharma concept I’ve ever seen or created becomes so cheesy once it appears in tactics. Does anyone have any examples of HCP creative (non-DSA) that is both impactful and translates well into pharma tactics?
Has anyone taken classes in valuations and received some kind of credential with just an EA? After a bit of a detour I’m getting my EA this year. I‘ve looked in to a few options, like the CVA, but it looks like I’d have to go to business school or become a CPA. I’m not against either but I don’t feel ready to apply to schools just yet. Wondering if anyone has taken a similarly unconventional route in their careers.
Is the CVA or ABV valued by big 4 at all?
Has anyone tried getting their CVA? If so, what was your experience like (besides awful I am sure)? Looking to sit for it once I return to the states.
CFA > CPA > CMA > CVA > CIA > CISA. Discuss.👆

Forensic accounting has always been an extreme interest of mine. Does anyone here work in forensics that can give some information on it? (Do you like it? Worth getting CFE? What type of work? Etc.)
For my FAs who are also CPAs (or anyone who knows I guess 😊) - do you know if there is a way to simultaneously get your CPE for the CPA while also preparing for the CFP? Continued in comments...
Shameless company plug, sorry y’all. But Morgan Stanley just rolled the FRM Experienced Professionals Program. This program is designed to recruit and develop diverse professionals regardless of whether they have a background in Finance or Risk Management. Lmk if you’re interested and I’ll make sure to forward you the information.
Anyone taken the CFE or CIA? Feedback is appreciated with respect to review courses and prep time. Thanks.
Where my fellow MBA students at? Tired of only seeing ‘rate me’ posts on the MBA applicants bowl.
Open to exploring my options for going indep. 8 year vet at EJ w/$150m AUM ($90m fee-based), & a CFP. Not unhappy @ EJ but not able to be a true planner. How do I compare all the options?
Interested in moving from audit to forensics. Have two years of audit experience and will have my CPA and CFE. Is it possible to make the switch and any tips?

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?
Any tips for building a client base from scratch? I’m a 4th year associate at a firm of 12 attorneys. I practice in business, compliance, and real estate (primarily on partners’ files) and don’t litigate. Most of the partners’ clients are wealthy friends or friends of friends (not my circle). Associates are not referred business, even cold calls, and so far “networking” events like Chamber of Commerce luncheons have been a bust. I equate a book to autonomy and career choice and pressure is on.
I was complaining about wfh initially since it was right in the middle of busy season. But now since things have slowed down and I'm working 40 hour weeks, I don't want to go back 😫
What is the best way to reach out to someone who works for the same firm, but a different office, to gain insight into the work they do and the culture? What do I email them without being awkward?
Career Advice: Non Tech PM in the DC/Nova area with an AWS SA cert. Trying to get staffed on a cloud based project at work but opportunities seem slim due to COVID. Would like to exit to a Eng. Manager, PM or Product role at AWS. Should I - 1) Apply at AWS and test my luck 2) Spend a year or two with a smaller beltway bandit/ aws partner in a cloud tech based PM role before approaching AWS? 3) Apply for a cloud based role at a Big 4 before AWS? if so, I'm case ready, Thank you!
Anyone else annoyed by the civilian use of military code when confirming letters such as A as in Alpha, B as in Bravo? We are just creating project plans, not invasion plans!
This might be a silly question, but I’m joining a local project and want to get a notebook. How do I ask my project for one?
What do 1 hr live case studies entail? That seems very long to just do one case study. Do those typically have lots of printed materials to analyze or intensive questions on the business?
UK SC at EY. Offer coming from Deloitte but they want me to move across the country and I have 3k left of my grad loan to pay off... anyone know if I will be able to get relocation bonus to help out?
Siegfried, internal audit, or stay with my current firm? Leaning toward Siegfried; has anyone had a bad experience and care to raise a red flag?
Received offer from late-stage (Series D) startup. Really like the company and industry, equity package is solid given their stage but base salary is only a 7% bump, and below the range I (contd)...
Can someone explain the logic behind firms requiring masks only for unvaccinated employees? Transmission is the same whether you are vaccinated or unvaccinated, especially for the delta variant. The CDC’s website says that vaccinated individuals could “potentially” have lower transmission rates, but there’s no actual data to support this statement. It seems like a way for firms to encourage (instead of mandating) the vaccine but it ends up being a discriminatory practice. Thoughts?
Curious if anyone out there had a quarantine baby? Planned or unplanned? How was the experience?
EY-P director salary range? Any ballpark ideas?

After 100+ applications I’ve gotten to a final round!!!! Any help to the following questions would be appreciated! It’s been a couple of years since my last real final round. Does anyone know what are “scenario types of questions”? Recruiter didn’t give a lot of details. What kind of questions do you ask during a final round (multiple 30-min) interview? I’ve asked a lot of my go tos during the first couple of rounds and am trying to prepare! Any general tips?
