I signed a car lease on 7/15. The car is ready but the dealer is still waiting for the plates to give me the car (in my state, he is not allowed to release the car with temporary plates). My first lease payment is almost due and I didn’t take possession of the car yet. is this normal? what should I do?

Hey everyone. I found out we are expecting our first child and I’m really nervous. I got into consulting one year ago and I’m up for promotion this year. With timing of our performance conversations I would have to inform I’m pregnant before outcomes - then shortly after the promotion effective date I would go on a leave for due date. I’ve worked really hard and I’m worried our wonderful news will throw chances with this :(- also if I don’t get promoted pretty sure it’s up or out. Any advice?

When someone tells me bad news regarding their health, I say everything I am supposed to say (I’m sorry to hear that, I’m here for you, etc) EXCEPT “everything is going to be ok”. Because I can’t guarantee that and I really don’t know if everything is going to be ok. I was taken aback recently when a friend told me I am calloused and cold-hearted for not being able to say those words. Is she right? Have new car prices increased as much as used? Estimated market value of my car has increased by over $10k, so I’m considering selling it to upgrade. But if new prices have gone up as much, then it’s a wash and there’s no compelling financial reason to upgrade now.

So squirrels decided to eat my engine harness (thanks Honda for your eco friendly wiring).
I got it fixed but the acceleration still feels sluggish even when slamming the acceleration on sport mode. It’s a 2017 Honda Civic turbo and used to have a pretty fun acceleration. Any ideas what could be the culprit or where to look? Things like bad ECU/ messed up turbo/ air leak?
