I was laid off about a month ago from a job of 2 years. The reason was for budget cuts, but I was still one of the top performers in the department. Since then I haven't been able to land a job and I've only had 2 interviews with the rest being rejections.

I've tailored my resume countless times, updated it, got multiple opinions and still instant rejections from jobs I'm more than qualified to do. So what is next? How does anyone find a job that pays enough to live?

Have you tried praying? I posted a similar question on another bowl and most responses were to start praying because you have already done all the other things to make yourself marketable.

I'd recommend finding jobs for which you're qualified but not overqualified. If you apply to jobs for which you're overqualified, some employers may worry that you'll suddenly switch companies for more pay after they hire you. Also, in this tough job market, applying online gives you almost no chance of being seen by recruiters because of the sheer number of applicants. I'd recommend reaching out to people at the companies you're considering and asking about about their experience at the company and how they ended up being hired. I hope this helps!

Based on the Gross salary offered I have calculated the in hand salary per month would be around 152000 considering 150000 in 80C, 50000 in NPS and 200000 deductions due to home loan interest. Total tax liability is around 400000. Any other options do I have to save tax further (other than HRA, LTA)? Thanks in advance.

So I’m really lucky- top 3 school just X3 my merit scholarship. I had already accepted and paid my deposit- so why would they do this?
To be clear, I’m super glad. This cuts my debt burden almost entirely. But like, why would they do it?
