San Juan, Lopez, or Orcas Island (Washington)
I'd probably want to move to someplace on the east coast, but not in a city (unless I really had a lot of money). I lived in Manhattan, and in Brooklyn, and I enjoyed it. But I was young and being broke in the city then wasn't that bad, it was all an adventure. Now that I'm older I'm not sure if I'd want to deal with it unless I had a lot of money to cushion the experience. I'm thinking someplace where I could have a little garden would be ideal. Someplace like eastern Pennsylvania, where there would be some decent growing seasons.
I sometimes think I would enjoy living in New York City but I have to say my first choices would either be Denver, Colorado or San Diego, California. Denver because I love nature and would love to see mountains outside my window each morning but I could still live in a major city and enjoy the perks of that. San Diego because it’s gorgeous, also not far from mountains and I get the beach.
