I’ve been getting some interviews but seems like everyone’s really qualified :(
I know someone trying to move from US and not getting any response... Recently there is a huge influx of people from US which is crowding the market.
Given that we hired someone in another country right before Covid hit, and we are still having a hell of a time getting him here... maybe being from the US is hurting you right now. It usually helps for experience points, but you’re an unknown - you probably can’t start as quickly as someone here, it might be harder for the hiring company to bring you in, US people usually have too high of salary expectations, and they might think you are at risk for leaving as soon as the US looks good again.

You have to network like crazy in Canada. It's a smaller more relationship driven market. Directly applying for jobs won't crack it. Used LinkedIn to reach out to people.
What platform are you using to find / apply for jobs?
