So I just joined a team as a product designer under the pretence I would be acting as a UX designer.

In talks with product managers, they express that their role encompasses being advocates for the user. Which is great, but they also stated their role is to conduct interviews, determine and solve problems, and provide rough wireframes of their proposed solution.

They say they'll involve me in the process but I am worried I'll be boxed into being just a UI designer.

Has anyone dealt with this?

How do you deal with parents who are Christian fanatics? They’re very loving, and I am Christian too, but not to the point where I want to impose my beliefs on others. They’re ~50 and I am in my early 20s. Great relationship now but strained if I ever bring up politics.

So I’m a female bartender that worked at a place that I won’t name. Let’s call it Foxys Tavern. I WAS working at Foxys Tavern for 2 years. Within the past year I’ve been getting harassed slashed borderline stalked by a salary manager. They made me out to be the inconvenience. I put in my two weeks hoping they would do something about the manager but they didn’t. They let me leave. But how is it other managers have been fired for the same thing but the manager doing it to me gets off scotch free

Our RE agent found someone to sublease our Chicago apartment that we don’t need anymore. We live in a different state, so we cannot move out the stuff on a short notice. Any ideas how to remove mattresses (<6mo usage) without flying back? Maybe any donation spots that would pick them up?
