I’m so confused right now. I just finished five interview rounds, and the manager told me during a coffee chat that I was his top pick. He said I’d hear back this week with good news. I had internal referrals and everything seemed perfect. Then I woke up to a generic rejection email saying they found a better fit. How does that even happen after being told I was the frontrunner?

Anyone familiar with Covid Supplemental Paid Sick Leave in CA? Does having planned time off nullify a full time employee’s ability to use the C19 sick leave if they become sick just prior to the planned time off? (I’ve only been able to find references to eligibility being based off of hours work preceding C19 sick leave - nothing about planned time off)
