I made the switch from editorial producing to more agency producing and I feel lost. Is there a resource where I can freshen up on producing lingo, more specifically the business side of things?

My last job didn't have nearly as many steps or procedures to go through, even for sponcon. I'm given briefs & some next steps but still feel like I'm missing puzzle pieces. I'm freelancing so I feel like I have a ticking time bomb on when I can figure it all out.

What is realistic comp and career progression at a PE firm exit?

Is applying a few days before the “Apply by” date too late? Do most decisions get made early on/they don’t wait for all applications before interviewing/hiring?

Considering joining a small 50-person company as the only attorney (prior attorney is retiring). (I am currently in-house at a F50). For others who have done the same path, what surprises did you have when moving from a large company to a small one?

Almost all the postings require actual certification or build experience. I am thinking that I may have to go back to school. My dilemma… I am an injury adjuster at a carrier experiencing high inventory that’s barely manageable. A competitor offered a higher salary and manageable workload. BUT, I would like to get into underwriting. I applied for UW position w/ a different carrier and they’ve made an offer. It’s lower than my current salary and significantly lower than what I’d make by taking the first offer. Do I take the high salary and stay in claims or go for UW in hopes it will be best in long run?

My husband just received a job offer on an opportunity he is really excited about. It would be great for his career and they are giving the 15% jump in base he asked for, however they won’t share what the target bonus amount would be. It’s an executive director position, so I would assume it’s a decent target bonus, but without that in writing it could honestly be a gift basket at the end of the year. Is it a red flag for them to not share this? His total comp could be less at this new job…

Working as CAL Manager with Accenture S&C India. Offered ~GBP 76.5K (fixed plus flexi) at Manager Grade by Deloitte London.

Prior to Accenture, I have already served as S&O Manager with Deloitte India for ~1.5 yrs - so this would be my second stint with Deloitte as Manager "again".

2 questions:
1. Should I ask for Senior Mgr (AD) grade - to which they have already said NO
2. Is GBP 76.5K sitting at the lower end of M grade in Deloitte UK? What should be a good expectation for the role
