Bain & Company Is there a cool down at Bain even if you don’t make it past the resume screen? Applied a couple months ago on a whim (and a referral from a friend) having no experience with anything business/consulting related as a lateral (only had experience in research prior). Since then have had 2 months at a t2 firm plus some biz dev for a startup. I’m aiming to reapply at 6 months. For context graduated from a t10 school and thought I wanted to go to med school for a little bit lol. Bain & Company

I have received an email after my interview with HCL from consultant stating I have selected for HCL technologies and asking for information like, when U was interviewed and whether I received any link for documents upload from HCL.
I replied to that email saying interview has been done and I am yet to receive any link from HCL for documents upload nor any call from HCL HR.

Get your schedule under control and practice some time management. Have set times when you deal with other people and keep the rest to yourself. As for the music situation, just get the earbuds out of your ears and practice some discipline. If I have problems focusing I go for a walk, or I return to my inspirations and focus on those for a while. But, it really comes down to discipline and professionalism. We get paid to focus, and because we're pros we make ourselves do it.
You're in a really good position as a CL to be able to afford the luxury of time blocking and making it clear to the rest of the team and clients that you're not available during that window. As juniors, it's much harder to do that. Use it to your advantage.
Don't make the mistake of being available at all times. It's not going to do you any good. Have a certain set of hours in the day when people know they can reach out and keep it that way.
Echoing everyone else - it’s critical as you get more senior to carve out your own time and practice a bit of unavailability.
I have really bad ADHD so to be honest with you the only way I can concentrate on work is if I take my medication that day. Otherwise it is game over for me.
