I refuse to nag my husband to find out so I will just ask here - what are Accenture paternity benefits these days? My research (aka google) says 8 weeks if he registered as primary caregiver. True?
Does anyone feel like they’ve really found meaning and purpose in life? I’m 31, have a great marriage, should make partner in the next 3-5 years, but it all just feels so meaningless. I feel stuck between making money, trying to go back to school, trying out industry. I feel the force of inertia and fear of the unknown keeping me in a role that makes me feel anxious and lost. I work in healthcare, and find myself in executive meetings wondering if I should have been a physician or nurse... help?
4 sessions in with a therapist and trying to assess effectiveness. Seems like she spends the hour gathering information from me but never really going deeper to understand root causes of my behaviors. Almost like she is fishing at times to find something to talk about.
Is this common? Do I need to stick it out longer to realize benefits?
Getting an offer from start up- base they are matching - they have no 401k match, no Bonus but they are giving me stock options at 0.2% of today's equity. Is it reasonable
How much (%) do you contribute to your 401k (including both pre and post tax)? Researching is very difficult bc consultants don’t even remotely resemble the average American financially, so just curious how I stack up against peers.
26/m - I have about 8k in an old 401k from my previous company. Should I roll all my retirement earnings into one big bucket? Is it a big deal if I just leave it there? What would you do?
Anyone at Accenture recently take paternity leave? The policy states for paternity leave, if you claim to be primary caregiver you get 8 weeks @ 100% pay. Thoughts on claiming primary ?

Have offer from a financial services company. Amazing $, benefits etc. BUT they laid off a HUGE chunk of people (30% of company) early this year.... is this typically a cause for concern moving fwd?
Does your company cover 100% of healthcare plan costs? If not, why aren’t employees asking for it? I didn’t realise this wasn’t a normal thing as I assumed having a healthcare benefit meant the company always paid

I want to start preparing for PE recruiting, how do I start?
1. On prep work: are there any online courses that I should take? What books/guides are good?
2. On head hunters: who are the best headhunters to reach out to? Should I simply cold email or LinkedIn invite them?

Would you rather rent a 3bed/2bath 1700sqft home that is painted and renovated or a 2,400 sq ft 4 bed / 3 bath that has ok amenities but has not been painted in 10 years, has ugly wallpaper in bathrooms and some questionable carpet choices? Repainting would probably cost 10k. Price of both rentals is equivalent and well within our means. We want to rent for a year or a year and a half to get to know the burbs before buying in the area. Both locations are in nice suburbs in similar neighborhoods.
