Any thoughts on Cognizant? Curious what compensation and benefits look like for Senior Manager/Associate Director roles.
EY people- Is there a big difference between Director/ED benefits vs Associate Director?
Considering offer for associate director role @F250 healthcare company. Trying to understand what level people exit when shifting from consulting to industry? Currently manager with 8 years total exp
How much are you saving each month? I'm making 80k annual, maxing out Roth IRA and doing a 17% Trad 401k deduction, and paying $1.5k in monthly rent. Wondering how much I should save/spend after that.
Can i use my marriott and delta points to book travel for my parents? If yes, would they enjoy the same platinum benefits as me?
I make $4000/M after taxes and max 401K and spend about $2400 for all fixed costs (rent, utilities, etc). With roughly $1600 left, and with a strong goal of saving as much as I can, what are some recommendations on how I should allocate my money better. I know this is vague but need some better financial planning.
Question for my 401k focused advisors out there--what programs are you using that is instrumental to your 401k practice that you simply can't do without? I'm being pitched on Envestnet & im not sold.
Has anyone taken one of those online executive courses, like the Harvard Extension School offers? Looking to use my $5k of tuition reimbursement and already have an MBA. Worth it? Best programs?
What is an MD starting salary at the Big 4? And what is the pension like compared to partner’s pension? MD worth it?
What does everyone do when they max out their 401k AND IRA? Taxable investment account? Something else?
Accenture folks: 1. Does Accenture do tuition reimbursement? 2. What level number is a consultant?
I know this is an incredibly privileged question to ask so spare me the criticism. But I am graduating with no student loans and starting a job in Philly making 95k. I want to lease an Audi A4 (~350/Mo) but my parents keep trying to talk me out of it saying it’s a terrible investment and that I don’t even need a car. I already plan on maxing out 401k/IRA and have an apartment for 1k/Mo. What do you guys think?
Question: Do the other big 4 firms still offer Open Access Plans (healthcare insurance)?
For those of you who have been recently let go, here’s one they don’t want you to know. In most cases; if you worked in multiple cities you can claim unemployment benefits from each of those states. Same amount of paperwork when filing but it’s worthwhile 🥃
Hey All! I have a friend who is a General Dentist and is looking to pivot into Consulting or more Healthcare admin work. Definitely out of my scope to give advice on what to do, but any recommendations. I know MDs often transition in; not sure about DMD/DDS?
3 years post-undergrad in biopharmaceutical consulting and applying to get my mba this fall. I’m considering healthcare investment banking as a post-mba career, as I enjoy the M&A process of banking. What exit opportunities exist? I’ve seen the posts about post-mba IB and they’re not all that encouraging.
How much would you personally feel contributing to 401K on a $150K salary? PwC matches 1.5% (25% up to first 6%)
Anyone serve on a pension board for a police or fire department? Meetings look to be quarterly and this board also determines pension benefits regarding disability approval, investment decisions, etc.
Is it ever a bad idea to pursue backdoor Roth IRA? (if you don’t need the money for another 20 years). Context: ~$300k income, maxing out 401k, maxing out traditional IRA
Associate making 93k, 3 years experience in nonprofit healthcare and 1 year in consulting trying to get an idea of what the spread is within the firm. Please share!
Given the presidents comments in the debate and the constant violations of the Hatch act that likely increased the risk of him catching COVID (ie all those maskless people on the lawn)...why should the American tax payers foot his medical bills now. This seems like something he should be paying OOP due to his recklessness
Curious if anyone has experienced companies that require COVID Vaccine if hired? I was told today that it is required for a company, and this isn't a healthcare organization. I have no issues with the vaccine, however I thought about it as a Talent Acquisition Manager. I'm not sure I'm comfortable relaying to candidates that it is a requirement since it's a personal choice. Any feedback? Just curious what is happening in the market.
Recruiter called today and she asked my comp expectations before I asked the comp range for her roles. I made the mistake (?) of saying my range first. Is there any way and is it appropriate to flip the question around? Or to just refuse to answer? Also, recruiter asked where I am with other interviews and what kinds of other ops I'm entertaining. I said I have several interviews lined up and vaguely named some industries (big tech, HF, VC, etc; all true). Is that bad / too much info?
Can someone give me an idea what a Director in tech at a B4 makes? MBA, 15 years experience, 7 years cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
I have a coworker who is usually extremely active on slack and who has all but dropped off recently. They respond to emails at a much slower rate and their replies are shorter. They used to be the fun of the group, but on both group and 1:1 communications they seem very different. I am worried about them/their mental state but I don't know how to reach out. I know they live alone/don't have much family and I realize depression is a really big problem right now.
In one month we cleard out a 5000 sq ft office space and turned it into a lab running high throughput COVID pcr tests (600 per day rn).
lawyer from top school applied to 2 MBB firms 3.5 weeks ago .. radio silence. Any help/referrals/coffee chats? Thank you
Any tips to make getting through LGA better? I know it's a mess right now with construction so I'm hoping for suggestions to make it less stressful.
I have to say, R/GA is probably by far the worst “agency” to work at. Their culture and core values as a company are close to zero. This agency is heavily sugar coated. Welcome to R/GJail.
Not sure consulting is the best way to spend life in my early 20s but damn, gotta do justice to your future self right? Just feels like i’m spending the best and healthiest years of my life with a screen and 15 Slack pings every 10 minutes. Maybe it’ll get better when things open up.
Friend delayed her wedding due to coronavirus concerns. Was going to be in September of this year and now it’s going to be September 2021. She wants the bridal party to ‘stay excited’ though and host bimonthly events (virtually for now) in the meantime starting now and leading up to it. I feel bad but I’m already incredibly exhausted with work post-round 2 of layoffs and dealing with my family. I almost want to bow out of being a bridesmaid...
Got fired on Friday. Woke up this morning and started getting ready for work...oh yeah.
Is there a way to access 401k funds in early retirement without a penalty? Been contemplating getting out of this rat race.
Have two days of virtual interviews with a company. Went thru HR stage and Hiring Mgr. Realizing now that while I love the company’s mission, the exact role I’m interviewing for doesn’t seem appealing. Any advice on how to handle? Go forward or cancel interviews? Bad look to cancel?
