In our office, we love having music on to keep the energy up, but I always find myself feeling a bit awkward when it’s my turn to choose the tunes. What if everyone doesn’t like my playlist? It’s a tough call balancing different tastes!

I’d love to hear your thoughts! How do you manage music in your workplace? Do you have a go-to playlist that pleases everyone?

You are SO right about this! And honestly, it's just because you're considerate of others and that's not a bad thing AT ALL. I have a coworker who loves EDM, but she is the only one and couldn't care less about everyone in the office hating it. I usually do a mix of soft rock (John Mayer), Lo-Fi (think fun elevator music), and throw in some pop (Sia is my favorite go-to). And at the end of the day... you can't please everyone 🤷‍♀️

Haha!! Country music is quite popular here in the UK at the moment. It's more pop/ rock country. So luke holmes ect not so much the Wurzels 🤣

I'm so glad we don't have music playing in our office 😂. I'm sure I don't like most of what's on my coworkers' playlists, and I'm equally sure they wouldn't like what's on mine. We all either listen to our own music/podcasts/ebooks in our headphones or nothing at all. If I had to throw music on for the office, I'd probably just choose the blandest coffee shop playlist Spotify has available and trust that even if people don't love the music, they at very least won't be offended by it.

Hmm... this is a tricky one. I'd pick the K Pop demon hunters soundtrack on repeat lol. Maybe go for instrumental, upbeat, or feel-good classics to keep the energy up without distracting anyone!

We don't play music in the office, which is a blessing. I find it too distracting. And it's just as well I wouldn't be put on the spot to volunteer a playlist. I don't think my colleagues would appreciate the music I like, and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to venture into their playlists. It's one of the great things about music, we can all listen to what we want.

I would hate this too. Can you opt out and say that you’re not a huge music buff and you’d rather pass along the honors to someone who is looking forward to their turn?
