Additional Posts in The Worklife Bowl
I see several posts from people asking how they can help during these times with a few extra $$$ to spend. Here is just one of many ideas.
www.stepuptothetable.com
#stepuptothetable is about helping local restaurants who are struggling during these times. I have seen numerous linkedin posts with videos where people challenge each other to step up to the table & buy meals & gift cards from their community restaurants. A great way for those of us who are more fortunate to support business & keep people employed.

Ok bye.

I use “best”, couldn’t care less if people hate it. It’s an email sign off and it’s professional, so they can get over it
And it’s so quick

You are really putting your heart into it, aren't you?
“Thanks.” If I’m irritated. “Thanks!” If I’m not. “Thank you for your patience,” if you need to find some patience.

See you on the dark side of the moon,

Thanks!

I find “Thanks!” to be rude. If you’re asking somebody to do something for you, then it almost presumes that they will do it and you are saying “I know this was phrased as a question but you can’t say no, thanks”. Could also be perceived as a little passive aggressive. Just my two cents

Anything but “Best”. I literally throw up a little when I see that.
Terrible take. Best is the only acceptable sign off.

Sincerely for personal. Regards for professional.
Thanks - so you just assume I agree or will do the task? Presumptuous.
Best - what is this really?
Yours truly - save this for your lover
Best Regards - is this a hallmark card?
Cheers - fun, lighthearted, best for internal work emails or close professional contacts (in sales for example)

Thanks is for their time and attention reading the message

I mean, really depends on what the email is about.
Request for someone to do something / or response to someone’s request - “Thanks”
Email to a client / partner when I’m trying to be extra nice and it’s an initial email (non-chain) - “Warmly”
Someone is annoying me - “Regards”
Getting on a call soon - “Talk soon”
