In NW Iowa we have warmed up to 0 from -13 this morning. We are out of school Monday and Tuesday. Usually cold temperatures mean inside recess.

I cannot imagine having this type of weather for very long. We are on our third week. This week is supposed to be even worse. School has been moved to an eLearning day tomorrow.
Well, we’re technically in the 40s but for Florida that’s pretty damn chilly if I’m being honest and we do have school tomorrow I’m interested to see how many kids still show up in shorts without a coat but we shall see

We have kids walking to school last week in 10° weather, and some of them were actually wearing shorts or no jackets.
Cold I can do. Rain...nope. NONONONONO. I'm moving to WY this summer and am excited to get back to seasons and allergy things dying off.

I can hardly handle the cold anymore. Rain doesn't bother me (if i don't have to get out in it).
Tomorrow is a federal holiday, so there is no school for students and staff in the U.S.

True. Some of the private schools still have school, though. I don't know how they get by without dismissing.
Today was colder for us about 70 during the day, but 45-50 at night. This week it will return to 75-79 degrees in California. I don't think I'd ever make it at negative something. Be safe out there.

I’ve always loved snow! Born and raised in upstate NY so I’ve never had a winter where I didn’t get any snow. I love snowshoeing, cross country skiing, frolicking, making snowmen, etc. My husband says I’m like a little kid in the snow 😂 I absolutely love living in a place where I often get multiple feet of snow a few times a year :)
Started at 8 degrees this morning and is now at 20! Tomorrow is supposed to be colder though when we go back, off for the holiday today. I wear a lot of layers and make sure I have some emergency things in my car. Always try to add in some cold weather things to my just in case bag. You never know out there.

I have learned to layer up those year. It definitely makes a difference. I usually keep an extra couple blankets in my car, and some snacks.
It's super cold in Philadelphia. We are having a 2 hour delay tomorrow school start time tomorrow. However it'll be in the teens until Wednesday.

Brrrr! I can't handle the cold. At least we only have 58 days until Spring.
We are in NC and at a balmy 12 degrees LOL. We are remote for the last 2 days. We have no salt or plows like the north does.

For real! They were talking on the news this morning about how they were trying to clear roads and parking lots in Alabama and Florida.
