Totally understand where you’re coming from! Although I do my makeup, I rarely dress up. My pass role in HR, I was pretty much in jeans plain T and vans most days because I’m comfortable and it also helps relax employees to come to me whenever comfortably, but when it comes to conferences, board or executive meetings, meeting contractors or consultants, conducting interviews, I’ll dress up a little. Lately, my go to interview look is wide leg black slacks, black shoes (pointed toe, because I’m on the short side), black quarter sleeve top and a grey blazer. My hair is an A-line bob so I just make sure to tame it with a flat iron. But I feel your pain because I take at least an hour every day to get ready. Good luck on your interview! I hope you get the job!
