I have Product Manager interviews starting next week at Google. Does anyone have tips they’d be willing to share? I interview well, I’ve done some prep, and I know the field, but I still have a bit of imposter syndrome and overall nervousness nipping at my edges.

Considering a move in-house to NBC Universal in any litigation role (though I’d really go to wherever there is a need, whether litigation or business affairs generally). Coming from 4th year law firm litigation experience in a variety of areas but mostly data breach, e-discovery, breach of K. I recently had an interview with HCL and cleared 2 rounds of technical interview. I waited for a week for HR call but no such call was received. I then contacted the POC who scheduled the interview (he is an HCL employee) and he said that I have been shortlisted and will receive HR call shortly. This was 1 week ago and I have still not received any call. Has anyone else faced the same issue? And if yes, should I even expect a call fro HR?

Persistent conducts interviews just for timepass. After clearing all rounds they don't offer. Aspiring candidate dont attend interviews.

Looking for some advice.. Manager left, I was given their work. Promoted few months after, but not to the role of my previous manager. Rec opened, I applied, didn't get it. We hired the new person and in my hopes to offload some of that original work back to them. I was told I'm going to continue to do everything my previous manager was doing. What are your thoughts on the Scrum Master role? I’ve worked with a few now and out of 5 of them, only 1 seemed to be of any help. Reorgs are just a part of the corporate world. If you haven’t been a part of one in your career yet, then you most likely haven’t been in the corporate workforce for very long. If you have been a part of a reorg, however, how do you personally approach it? There are many factors at play, but in general do you try to establish relationships with the individuals you know will be key contributors and/or decision makers going forward? Or do you lay low and let what ever happens be/hope for the best?

Once you get into a FAANG company, is it better to stay where you are or move around? I’m a dissatisfied with my current job but I have vesting stocks, work 9-5, and people to know and respect me. I am the sole provider for my family and value quality of life and stability. I have some interview requests from other FAANG companies that I know pay more but I worry about starting over. Anyone switch companies and either regret it or are glad they did?

Are FAANG companies really the place to be for SWE’s? I want to work for one but I’m worried about culture & work/life balance.
