Right? Do incredibly important work while being unable to feed and house yourself :/
One of the most frustrating parts of being a scientist or researcher is constantly having to deal with failure. Whether it's an unsuccessful experiment, a paper that gets rejected, or simply not making the breakthrough you were hoping for, it can be demoralizing to constantly come up short. It can be hard to stay motivated when your work seems to constantly be falling short.
One of the most frustrating parts of being a scientist or researcher is dealing with the bureaucracy of academia. Writing grants, filling out forms, and attending meetings can take up a lot of time that could be better spent doing research.
