There is a lack of diversity in tech. As mentioned above, other countries place a huge focus on computer science and engineering degrees, the US, does not. There is lots of work to be done in the U.S.

Americans don't get the required advanced degrees / education needed at the volume which the market requires these types of individuals.
I blame poor math education and stripping edutainment from STEM field instruction.
The odd part is that some STEM degrees allow you to work with a Bachelor’s, but pay poorly.
I work for a staffing agency, and most engineering industry tech people are Asians(non US citizens) so that’s why.
B/c they aren’t US Citizens. Like TAM said above about Americans.
