Last few weeks have been rough. I was moved under a new director without letting my previous director know. I found out by looking into the system, always getting shifted around to clean up work from previous directors (3) that were let go so we can “save” accounts. I was able to go thru SOWs & POs to generate $1M owed to us. All because Sr Directors didn’t want to do the admin side of their job. Add to insult I had to fight for a 2% raise + 1% bonus + more work… my motivation low 😢

I was just talking to a younger friend who goes to Cal and It seems like the kids these days hate FAANG or at least Amazon and Facebook are not desired at all. I personally don’t see too many issues working at either Amazon or Facebook because I work at Deloitte where I’m sure we have many questionable clients and worked in financial services before. Whenever I got promoted to digital ACD a few years ago, I noticed my pay was much lower than I expected for the market I’m in, hard to find skillsets, performance, and visibility I’ve brought to the agency. I’ve brought this up a few times and was told HR would do research into salary equity, but the convo always fades. I put my foot down with my GCD, and she supports me, but I would like to come to the table with my own research. Where should I be looking for accuracy?
