What makes you fail and discount someone during a case interview? I.e: eloquent, professional, experienced, & personable. Are managers really willing to disregard all of it for a case? Just curious

After an interview and sending thank you notes, how long should you wait to follow up? A week? Less?

I'm in the last stage of the pipeline for a company. Literally preparing for an assignment and I'll be having the last interview on Monday. I checked their LinkedIn feed today, and I saw they made a post TODAY(Friday) that they are still looking for the role I'm applying. I found it a bit rude and disappointing. Is this normal? Or am I overthinking it?
