Looking for advice. I was terminated from a bank commercial financing position 2 years ago for violating the “communication policy”. Customer complained about something I said to them on a phone call. In 5 years at that bank, I seen them fire dozens of coworkers for little things, not blink an eye, just walk them out right there. I have been a professional in customer facing roles for 25 with zero other complaints. I got another bank job now. However, future job interview advice is appreciated.

I received an offer from big 4 with 60% hike. My managers wants to retain and I asked them to match if you want me to be retained.
Now I got a call from GPM yesterday. He used harsh words like "being greedy" "selfish" etc and offered me 30% in the end.
I politely declined but he asked me to reconsider as he said "it would be unfair for the org for you to leave so soon."

Let me know a proper response.
