The best thing I did was get into my hobbies and then find local groups with similar interests! The coordination part is real just because everyone has jobs, families, and a lot more responsibilities than before! Definitely turns into a quality over quantity in your 30’s and it is a great thing.
Pilates/ yoga classes or music festivals. Join a group club, church or a gym studio. It's a good way to meet new people. You'll need to put yourself out there and be intentional. I've been more to myself and now trying to host people at my place as a way of building more intentional relationships. You will find your people :)
I feel this, making friends in your 30s is basically dating but without the apps. I’ve had luck with workout classes and chatting up moms at the park. Have you tried any local hobby groups?
You won't do it sitting on your couch bingeing reality TV series. Probably the best place would be church because it attracts individuals from all sectors. Bible study classes are usually divided into age groups -- youth, college/career, young adults, middle-age, senior adults. If you aren't religious, there's the social club circuit and hobby groups -- yoga, fitness, bowling. Then there's the almost-extinct practice of actually going next door to give you're neighbor a plate of brownies.
