There’s been a lot of turnover with the team and I feel like I’m having a hard time getting the team to see me more as an authoritative figure. For example, when I ask for volunteers on a simple task, no one replies. Should I just resort to assigning rather than asking? Also are there leadership books you suggest that I could read up on? Thank you!

Two questions: - has anyone chosen (as in not through redundancy) to change employers during the pandemic? - has anyone realised through management actions during the pandemic that they're not aligned with their current employer in terms of values? I was approached by a firm a few months ago and got three interviews deep before they decided I was too expensive for their current needs. However I don't like the values of our current mgmt and am thinking about starting conversation again.
