SPF for lips
Rising Star
Looking into this thank you!
In addition to getting darker, does it feel like it doesn’t retain moisture?
If yes, it happened to me and I had it for over a year. My lips literally went from pink to black like black black (people always thought i had black lipstick on). I did a lot of exfoliating at first, which made them a little less black but still much darker than the past.
I went to a black dermatologist a few months after I first noticed and she prescribed some ointment. She said I probably came in contact with something that caused the issue. I used the ointment for months and saw improvements over time.

Girlll don’t give me something else to now start obsessing over 🤣
Hi. I am dark skinned with pink lips. Sometime last year, the pink part of my lip started turning black like I'd been smoking (and I have never smoked in my life). I wore lip stick to cover it up, but the black bled through the lip color, so I consulted with my doctor friend.
Turned out to be low iron. I had to change my diet and take iron supplements, and the pink color was restored within months. Hope that helps. 😊

Ooooo thank you. That’s something I’ll bring up with my doctor.
Exfoliate with brown sugar and olive oil. Tone with diluted ACV.
Also, I think I remember something about using a lip balm with Vit E or pomegranate.

Thank you!!
Following as I'm going through the same issue rn
I recently had this issue. I think it came from a beauty supply store matte lip stain that I loved. I stopped wearing it and have saw improvements.
Lip hyperpigmentation is a thing. Check with your derm to confirm.
I have this issue..people think I’m just walking around with lipliner on all day and no lipstick lol! Key is moisturize, exfoliate, and spf…could also use dark spot treatments..I went to a derm and they gave me skin bleach but I was too afraid to try that.
I’m considering getting my lips tattooed lighter..sounds crazy but it’s pretty common
Ahh nobody has asked me that yet but I wonder if that’s what they’re thinking 🥲🥲
