Additional Posts in Career Advice for Students
I am a graduating student who just got offered 65k for a solution analyst role at Deloitte USDC (Data Engineering Focus). From reading previous posts it seems to be a lot of negative thoughts surrounding the USDC, but straight out of college is this a good opportunity?
I'm looking to gain as much experience as possible out of college in an IT role and wondering what exit opportunities may be in place a year or two down the road if there is little/slow progression.
Any Advice?

Suer, I think you can pivot. Medical sales will always be there, facilities are always looking to improve and hospitals tend to have a gazillion dollars.
You may be better served posting this in the Career Pivot Bowl
If you think the current company is going under then you won’t have a choice, you’ll have to pivot or get work elsewhere. Probably a good idea to tighten your budget and start saving a bit more, while starting to look for another job at the same time. With the current market it may take a while to find another job either way and if you time it right then you might get severance pay. Definitely don’t quit without getting another job first or at least saving up a few months of living expenses.
Yes you can make great money in medical sales. I would definitely recommend it.
I know it's boring, but I figure staying in marketing/sales within the tech realm is probably more stable? Idk, why take the leap if you have stability. That's just my two cents.

That’s tough, I’d lol for a new role while milking the current one, only leave if it’s truly better right?
$70k for a couple years experience in marketing is entirely reasonable, even in industries where salaries aren't that high overall.
You can for sure meet that if not make even more in medical sales. It's a great time to make the switch right now too.
Just applied to Abbvie and then saw they had a layoff today as well 🥲 tough times all around
Yep, I’m just grateful for my paycheck this holiday season as I have medical bills and surprise expenses that have popped up over the last few months. I do need to tighten up my saving though😅
Why are you planning to leave your current role? For career growth? Or financial stability?
