Promoted to Sr. PM six months ago with a slight raise (up 7% to $122k). Attempted to negotiate and gave a target of $130k but told they went as high as they could (and that the company is cheap). My manager has my back and is transparent. But with recruiters reaching out daily with roles at $150+ it’s hard to ignore feeling undervalued. I’ve brought this up directly and was told it will work itself out, but not until annual review. Do I need to go get an external offer to force the issue?
I am a PwC DDV senior. New to fishbowl. I am looking to switch to other similar DDV practices at EY Deloitte Accenture EY-Parthenon etc. I am not looking for a title bump necessarily just done with DDV at PwC however. I am in MCOL city, MBA. I would really appreciate guidance on comps at other places in their DDV practices. Mostly just interested in base comp. It’s fine if I don’t get a pay raise, not eager on a pay cut though. I have 2 years DDV experience and I am very good at casing. Tysm 💜
Has anyone had a positive experience from bringing in an offer from another agency to get a raise? Let’s say it’s a conversation where it’s talked about in a polite/non-threatening way
Negotiation help needed: Have an offer for about 50% more than I currently make. During application process they made you give your target salary. The offer on the table is $10k over my initial number AND during interview process they talked about fast career ascention opportunities (6 months or less). 1. I feel like I should negotiate bc that's the thing to do. 2. I also feel like I have no leverage bc they're already over my initial target by $10k and talking promotion in 6 months. Help!
What comp can we expect to target after 2 YOE? I’m not miserable in consulting but don’t think I get paid competitively. With my promotion in a month, I’ll be hitting 100k and I want to only leave if I can get 110k or more (going for strategy, PM, and a few startup roles). Is that realistic? whens the best time to leave for max comp in the long term?
Is it common for average performers to climb the corp ladder by jumping firms every 3-4 years with a promotion?
I am due for a promotion soon but due to COVID our company has advised no raises this year. I know our company faired better than expected but not to where we would be if it was not a pandemic. I am very thankful to have my job but also uncomfortable with getting a higher title and not being compensated for it. Any tips or creative ideas for negotiations?
Anyone here with an EA (enrolled agent)? If so, can you shed some light on if that was acceptable for promotion. I know it says so in the handbook but wanted to see what the experience has been.
I got a promotion to Creative Director but I don’t think it means anything at my current agency. Do I change my LinkedIn / CV or no? Thinking it might be a deterrent to getting my next gig...
Currently senior at 98,000. Possibility of promotion next year. Should switch to industry for 140,000?
Been offered a role at a botique firm and have a number of medical conditions that require expensive treatment. Would the firm retract its offer if I asked to examine its health plan? Raise any flags?

I got offered a promotion to ACD and to co-lead a team on a new account that’s creating an unbranded campaign followed by branded launch, with all the bells and whistles. But I’ve been on a large account in another arm of the agency for the past several years and I’m comfortable there and love my current art counterpart. Should I take the opportunity or stay where I am? Nervous to jump into a completely unknown situation but worried the ECD will write me off if I stay put. In the other hand….
What's the baseline raise out of public these days? assuming I'm trading 10% raises for 4% so what jump should I demand up front?
“The super-rich members, including Ben and Jerry’s ice cream co-founder Jerry Greenfield and Disney heir Abigail Disney, called on ‘our governments to raise taxes on people like us. Immediately. Substantially. Permanently’.” https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/news/2020/jul/13/super-rich-call-for-higher-taxes-on-wealthy-to-pay-for-covid-19-recovery
Just finished a busy season as a senior 2 and lead senior, will become senior 3 later this year. Got a bravo award from Partner saying I did a great job on leading the team. Does that mean I can get promoted to manager next Oct if I’m not screwing up? Anything else I should let my counselor know if I want the promotion?
Any thoughts on exiting into corporate strategy at a bank? I’m Canadian with 2 yoe and have an offer for 110k base + 15k signing & promotion to manager.
One of my big hang-ups with biden tax plan is raising corporate tax across the board. Why raise taxes on businesses when we've just found out how fragile it is to be able to run a small business? Why not at least propose some kind of progressive corporate tax structure if you want to raise taxes on corps?
Maybe we should implement something like automatic posts refresh? I got a notification about "someone like mypost" but it isn't displaying at the post title...
Beyond 2 lines the text in each post card is cut off. I wonder how many lines in the comment section?

If you have 2 full days in London to yourself, what would you do? Cant miss, must visit, gotta eat etc.
Honestly, I’m done with covid. I’ve done all I can do, the rest is in God’s hands. Come at me telling me about how I don’t care about anyone but myself, x y and z. I quarantined, masked, vaxxed. What else can I do? I’m going to start living life like it’s 2019 again.
How’s lag terminal D pre check looking?
A male colleague on the same project shushed me like you shush a kid when I was trying to speak. He also called me Missy, in this kinda funny but condescending tone like he is talking to a kid. He is older and has been on this project team 1 year before me. Other people who have been here longer still treat me well and respect my work though. I feel pretty pissed. What to do?
What’s going on? Wasn’t it supposed to go down?

How do you deal with a team member who is not a morning person? We have our team meeting and client meetings at 9:30 AM and they always sounds groggy and slow on the phone. It looks very bad in front of the clients. They look like they just woke up too when they occasionally turn their camera on. I don’t think 9:30 AM is unreasonably early but also don’t want to tell people how to manage their personal schedule. Any suggestions will be welcome!
Anyone interview for Kearney LCO recently? Saw some posts a few months back, but no updates on how they went. Interviewing next week and looking for insights into types of cases to expect. Kind of hoping there isn’t a market sizing question. Probably wishful thinking.
Today my manager told me that my soul patch isn't "client ready". Has anyone else had to deal with a difficult/inappropriate manager like this? How did you handle the situation?
