You should absolutely get signed to an agency and have them find voice-over gigs for you. My friend just received a royalty check of $5,000 for one commercial
I do VO and have been with SAG/AFTRA for years. But there’s lots of nonunion work too. As CD1 mentioned, there’s a zillion voice actors out there. I’m happy to chat. Feel free to DM me.

One of my first spots featured Andy Berlin (as in Goodby, Berlin, and Silverstein) playing the voice of god for a tv network. You should totally go for it. But, and this is a big but, you need to approach this as more than a scratch track—-if you need acting training get it. Get into improv. Whatever, as you know better than most vo’s, we have zero affection for the voice on the audition…until we say yes.
Unless, of course, you can pocket gigs from your clients without competition. In which case you still owe them the best.
