Word of advise..PI work is good if you are the attorney handling directly cases. If you work for a PI firm, learn as much as possible and run, or make partner
Sounds like when I started, fwiw.
I had no structured learning curve or introduction. It was very much sink or swim, but in a way less negative way than that sounds.
Definitely standard but it does suck
Par for course across the industry. Don’t sweat it and just roll with it all. Always remember you are not defined by your job and that’s all this is - your job. Law has an awful overall culture where you’re supposed to make this your whole identity and there’s a lot of workplace abuse that stems from that. Don’t get hurt (easier said than done!) when things don’t work out for your in these situations because your jackass boss doesn’t prepare you the way they should!
i appreciate that! thanks!
