Does it bother anyone that a rich, old, white, career politician was able to walk ass-backwards into the Democratic candidacy for the president of the United States? There were lots of better qualified people that didn't even have a practical path to the position. Similarly, does it bother anyone that a rich, old, white, unempathizing man wasn't even challenged practically for the Republican candidacy? What does this say about the two party system and society in its current state?

President Trump, please step up and show leadership. If you can sign executive orders protecting statues commemorating child traffickers and rapists due to the role they played in this nation, I am sure you can open the door for more meaningful conversations with the country. Is it a bad idea to include a fraternity leadership position (president) on my MBA application? It seems like demonstrating leadership experience is good but potentially the stigma of Greek life could outweigh that.
GC at a mid sized private company. Legal department has been relatively small with only a few attorneys and legal assistants so bonuses have been discretionary and decided by the president without any real defined stucture. We are quickly expanding into a number of states as a result of a recent acquisition and will be hiring attorneys in each state. I am charged with developing a more formal bonus plan. Interested in examples of bonus structures. Vesting, tiers, percent of salary. Etc.

Had a conversation with the president at my small agency about transitioning from a full-time salary role to contractual work to pursue my long-term goals towards freelance illustration. I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.

I’m, technically, a Jr but being paid as a Mid because I had a great mentor who believed in me. I’m now moving on to an actual Mid role but have no idea if I should ask for a higher salary because if I do, I’ll basically be asking for close to a Sr Creative’s salary. Advice desperately needed. I've been at my agency for 6 years and I have a one year old child. Work is going well since I returned 6 months ago after maternity leave, my boss likes me, has given me more responsibility and praises my work but he's basically told me I won't be promoted because the 2 CD slots above me are both filled.
