anyone know what the equivalent level in Consulting is for the role ‘Vice President of Consulting Services’ at HSBC? is it equivalent to Senior Consultant or Manager?

Being recruited for a President role at a smaller shop in the Midwest. Potential equity. Anyone have advice about salary ranges?

Is it possible to exit to the NBA/NFL in a leadership position from consulting, like a T2 firm for example? For ex., President of Basketball Ops, Head of Analytics, etc. Really interested in the sports industry but also want to make it worth the salary as well. I believe Daryl Morey has done this but any advice would be much appreciated!

To anyone who finds the argument against impeachment of “he only has 12 days left”, you need to consider the position that this is about our Nation reinforcing its commitment to our Constitution, protecting the office of the President, and sending a message to the world that we are not complete hypocrites and we believe in democracy, laws, and justice.

How much does a leadership/president position for Extracurriculars at work matter for MBA apps?

I was offered to take on a Lead role for a community at work.

Had a conversation with the president at my small agency about transitioning from a full-time salary role to contractual work to pursue my long-term goals towards freelance illustration. They were hesitant and told me that I can do that my own work while working as a full-time employee. My hesitations are that clear boundaries would not be set if this is how I move forward in the company.

Anyone have any advice at approaching this situation so that it feels win-win?

GC at a mid sized private company. Legal department has been relatively small with only a few attorneys and legal assistants so bonuses have been discretionary and decided by the president without any real defined stucture. We are quickly expanding into a number of states as a result of a recent acquisition and will be hiring attorneys in each state. I am charged with developing a more formal bonus plan. Interested in examples of bonus structures. Vesting, tiers, percent of salary. Etc.

Who else is tired of people who post on here with vague AF titles that don’t give any indication of job role or department?

Senior Manager, Senior Vice President, Vice President, Manager, I’m looking at you. These are levels of seniority, not job titles.

And they always seem to be the most opinionated.

President Trump, please step up and show leadership. If you can sign executive orders protecting statues commemorating child traffickers and rapists due to the role they played in this nation, I am sure you can open the door for more meaningful conversations with the country. For a start, you can sign an order to better hold police accountable by mandating a federal body cam law... start somewhere sir! Please.

What exactly does VP mean? Contractual obligation, reports to President? Can’t get fired?
