If I apply for a role externally, what info about me (rating, salary, fired or not...) the new company can request from HR of my old company? What is HR supposed to disclose and what not?

I just landed a full time role in creative at an agency but I have PTSD from my last job. I know this is kind of a broad ask, but I could use any advice that would help me not be terrible at work and keep me from getting fired.

I’m feeling very sad. I just learned that the partner in my previous firm got fired. I considered him my mentor. He took me under his wing. He was my Don Draper and I was his Peggy Olson. I’m really bummed about this, heartbroken and worried. Nobody knows why. The ex-colleague said everything was normal, they sent him emails but bounced back. Nobody saw it coming. 😢

Do any Deloitte partners have metrics on the number of layoffs this past month across the board? Is it just overblown on fishbowl?

I'm getting tired of being a forced-by-layoff freelancer and not having any freelance gigs so far. Not sure if it's cause

Looking at some of the people laid off from Airbnb and other tech firms is heart wrenching! Lots of product managers seems to laid off recently. This girl had a perfect resume and was laid off, no ones immune

Is now really a good time to be switching jobs? Especially going into a big market like NYC? Fears of a recession making me reconsider whether I should grow where I am or move down to NYC but run the risk of being the first laid off in the case that the economy goes bust

Anyone have any idea when the hiring freeze might end within AWS ProServ? I’m currently at Amazon and have a TS clearance, PMP & CSM. I come from a Big4 consulting firm with a background in Enterprise Performance. I’ll be honest and say I’m not feeling very safe in my current role with the ongoing layoffs. Instead of leaving, I’d love to go back to my “consulting roots” and join the ProServ team. I’m taking my AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam next weekend. Hoping this freeze is lifted soon.

I had a visa appointment for H1b stamping scheduled for March 2021. However, I just got a notification that my scheduled appointment at the New Delhi VAC for fingerprints in India has been cancelled. Did anyone who was scheduled to go for stamping in March 2021 received this email? What do you guys suggest I do in this case?
