Seeking Career Advice
Hi all, I’m an engineer who left my last employer after 3 months last May and have been actively looking for a new job since, but haven’t had much success. I’ve turned down a couple of offers last Aug/Sept 'cause they didn’t feel like the right fit. I’m struggling with self-doubt and unsure if I’ll ever find the right role. I feel everyone in the industry knows about me. Any advice or suggestions on staying motivated and moving forward would be greatly appreciated!

What kind of dietary resources do you point your patients do when discussing nutritional changes to your patients for their annual exams?

A patient of mine essentially asked me to fraudulently bill his insurance the other day. My response was records can be audited at anytime which could result in my license being put at risk. He asked me how many times has that happened? I was like that doesn’t matter. I spent way too much time, money and effort to get to where I am.

I can’t handle the networking thing sober.... I’ve been sober 4 years and I still find it incredibly difficult... also a young professional

No matter how much and how hard I try organize my day, stuff just pops out of nowhere all the time and I end up stuck at my desk until midnight almost every single day.

Small firm (my boss, me, & a paralegal). After a hearing I did not handle, boss intended to seek review of the ruling in its entirety. What was communicated to me by paralegal was to seek review of a portion.

Seeking review is now time-barred. Boss is not upset, but this is 1 case & 1 problem. There are other cases & other stories.

How do I talk to my boss about being more present (boss is never in office, has “too many” emails, never answers his phone) without being seen as insubordinate?

So I worked from home yesterday and my husband had a sneak peak on my meetings with clients (which I’m very new to being a senior). He mention that I should read some sales pitch books of some sorts so I can get a process down and not be drain from having genuine conversations with every client. I think it’s a great idea. Anyone have thoughts or recommendation?

Recent immigrant and about to buy a car - insurance company said it would take 2 weeks to process my application. Is this normal? In the US I insured my car with one 10min phone call, so was a bit surprised

IBM wants to retain me, manager told me told withdrawal the paper. But still didn't get the revised offer/promotion letter? So before withdrawal will not get yhe letter from ibm?

Any really impactful books that have helped you career-wise? Not necessarily consulting focused. In need of guidance and a new book so figured I'd kill two birds with one stone or whatever.
